What You're Getting Into

I have always been interested in learning and knowing random facts about any and everything. As a kid, I was always reading big books, whether they were nonfiction or fictional, my nose was buried deep in the pages. Once I grew up and got around other kids in middle and high school, reading wasn't really the fad anymore. When I think back to it, I was definitely part of that nerd group even though I played sports, this was somewhat when being a nerd wasn't too bad but the sports kind of helped me out. I ceased my reading adventures, but I still found myself looking up random facts or allowing myself to fall down youtube rabbit holes consisting of those scary, religious, history videos, or government conspiracies throughout the U.S. My thirst for knowledge could never be quenched but I enjoyed drowning in the facts and opinions I came across on the internet.

Near the end of my high school experience, I began to look inward. Like metamorphosis, I had to do some self-evaluation and make the necessary changes. I was growing up and life was putting its gloves on to beat my ass. This is when I looked back to my old love of books. Just as I did, my love had also changed. I cared more about what I was consuming because I wanted to put that knowledge to use, unlike before when I did it for fun. I frequented the self-help section of Barnes and Noble looking for anything that could catapult this old hobby and be sustained by this new vessel of a person. The hardest part was being real with myself and knowing what I truly needed in the moment.

As life goes on we grow and become different versions of ourselves. I want to use this platform to share my experience of life so far. I also look to give advice and provide a different perspective in aspects of life surrounding: becoming an adult, self-growth, mental health, and more. I'm not looking to change your mind or beliefs; I've always enjoyed learning from others as well as offering my knowledge while flourishing in the back and forth that occurs. I hope you can learn something that could bring you some joy or make you think a little deeper.
